Caley and Brian’s Garden Pizza Party Wedding at Lareau Farm Inn in Waitsfield, Vermont

Many thanks to my second shooter (and the first photographer that I’ve ever mentored and trained in my style) Abby Allaire, who continues to impress me as she grows as a photographer- several of these images are hers

Caley and Brian suggested their guests find their best garden party attire to wear to their wedding at the Lareau Farm Inn, and boy did they deliver! As Caley and Brian said their vows, the audience was a bouquet of bright floral prints, Hawaiian shirts, and vintage hair pieces (including the intricately beaded crown Caley wore, which had been worn by her grandmother and her mother at their own weddings).

June is my favorite month in general, and photographing weddings in this verdant time is no exception. The best of June was celebrated at Caley and Brian’s wedding- warm but not hot weather, peonies decking bouquets and centerpieces, and fresh strawberry shortcake for desert. The temperature dipped just enough as the sun set for a campfire and fervent dancing to the tunes of A House on Fire to be the best nighttime activity.

It’s been such a pleasure to spend time with these sweet souls, from photographing their engagement session at Shelburne Farms last summer, to meeting up for brunch between our two houses in Vermont- as I told them on Saturday evening as the sweet light waned, they absolutely deserved every detail falling into place on their wedding day.
