Ellie and Charles’ Groovy Camp-Style Wedding at Lareau Farm in Waitsfield, Vermont

Big thank-you to my friend and former apprentice, Abby Allaire, who has been on fire this summer and contributed many images to Ellie and Charles’ Wedding

Ellie and Charles met at summer camp in the Adirondacks and have the energy of camp counselors: always up for a good adventure and simultaneously prepared and put together for whatever that adventure may be. Their long-distance love spanned two countries at times, before their jobs aligned and they found each other side by side again, most recently in the state they’ve fallen in love with- Vermont.

For Ellie and Charles, the most important thing for me to capture were the candid moments between their family and friends. Fortunately for Abby and me, their family and friends had as much spark and wittiness as the people they were gathered to celebrate. Charles’ family is from Quebec, and watching his adorable nieces and nephews tear around the grounds of Lareau Farm Inn, going on a roll in French, was an audible delight.

I was also lucky to work with some of my favorite vendors, including Helen at Lareau, Erin of Nectar and Root with her beautiful floral artistry, and the talented guys of Grippo Funk Band who kept everyone glued to the dance floor all evening long.
